Climate Change

In 2025, we were pleased to maintain our ‘B’ CDP Rating (based on the 2024 reporting period) for the fourth consecutive year - demonstrating that we are continuing to take coordinated action on climate change.

We are focussed on achieving our two SBTi-approved carbon reduction targets: (a) to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 50% by 2030 from a 2019 baseline year; and (b) to ensure that 73.5% of our suppliers by emissions covering purchased goods and services will have science-based targets by 2027.

We are on track to achieve the first of those targets with a 29.9% reduction achieved between 2019 and 2025, with a clear decarbonisation roadmap for the years ahead to continue that journey.

For the second of those targets we were at 39% as of end of 2024 and have an active Responsible Sourcing Programme which is engaging some of our key suppliers on a range of sustainability topics, including carbon-reduction targets.

Results for our scope 1 and 2 footprinting for 2025 can be found below:

Our 2025 Verification Statement is available here.

Our progress to achieving our Scope 1 and 2 SBTi target:

The data above is included in our 2024 Verification statement available here.

In the coming months we will be completing our 2025 scope 3 carbon footprint.

Resource Use and Circular Economy

Throughout all our facilities we are continually investigating ways to reduce, reuse, recycle and recover.

The non-hazardous waste at our warehouses is largely made up of the cardboard and plastic packaging applied by pharmaceutical manufacturers to multiple packs of their products for safe transport. These packaging materials are predominantly recyclable and are segregated from non recyclable waste.

Our Medtech service teams work with healthcare providers to maintain, repair and extend the life of medical devices, even once the support phase from the manufacturer comes to an end. As per WEEE regulations, when electronic devices do ultimately come to their end-of-life, we can facilitate collection and ensure they are disposed of correctly.

A breakdown of waste by weight for 2025 is provided below in detail. The proportion of non-hazardous waste diverted from disposal (incineration and landfill) in 2025 was 76%.
