Allcare continues sponsorship of The Ray D’Arcy Show following record increase in brand awareness

Allcare Pharmacy will continue as the main sponsor of The Ray D’Arcy Show on RTÉ Radio 1 into 2020.

The move follows recent results from the December 2019 Pharmacy Brand Equity and Market Study by Coyne Research, which showed Allcare with the highest year-on-year percentage point increase in the five-year history of the nationally-representative study of 1,000 adults.

“We’re delighted to renew our partnership with The Ray D’Arcy Show,” said Siobhán Flynn, Marketing Director at Allcare Pharmacy. “We’re a strong community-based brand and look forward to continuing to promote the great things customers and patients experience in Allcare Pharmacies.”

The Ray D’Arcy Show, which airs weekdays from 3 p.m. – 4.30 p.m., is increasing in popularity, recent JNLR figures show. Allcare’s sponsorship includes 30 10-second stings aired every week during the show, each focused on specific benefits and services offered by the pharmacy group.

In addition to these, Allcare will have credited promos every week on RTE’s other highest-rated shows, including Morning Ireland, Today with Sean O’ Rourke, Liveline, The Ryan Tubridy Show, Saturday with Cormac Ó hEadhra and Sunday with Miriam as well as podcast sponsorship and homepage sponsorship.

Allcare Pharmacy is now the largest Irish-owned pharmacy group. In addition to the investment it made in The Ray D’Arcy Show sponsorship, the increased brand awareness also reflects its increased store footprint following its acquisition of the Bradley’s group of pharmacies last year.

It is planning continued growth through new franchises and acquisitions.
